Shoigu said that military salaries in 2022-2023 will be increased beyond the plan

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, in order to increase contract employees annually in 2021-2023, 180.2 billion rubles were additionally allocated to the Ministry of Defense

MOSCOW, December 21. /tass/. The monetary allowance of the military in 2022-2023 will increase more than previously planned. This was announced on Tuesday by Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at an expanded meeting of the board of the military department.

"In 2022-2023, the indexation [of monetary allowances] will be carried out in excess of the planned parameters," he said.

According to the Minister, in order to increase contract employees annually in 2021-2023, 180.2 billion rubles were additionally allocated to the Ministry of Defense.

"This year, the monetary allowance of military personnel has been indexed by 3.7%," the minister recalled.

As Shoigu stressed, the measures taken increase the attractiveness of military service and the influx of highly qualified specialists into the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
