MOSCOW, Dec 21 - RIA Novosti. The fifth "Dome" spacecraft of the space segment of the missile attack warning System (SPRN) has been launched, Russian Defense Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said.
"The combat capabilities and control technologies of the Unified Space System are increasing. The fifth Kupol spacecraft has been launched, the construction of the Western Modernized Command Post of the CEN has been completed with its transfer to trial operation," he said at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The Russian SPRN solves the problems of obtaining trajectory data for the formation of a warning about a missile attack on state and military command posts.
