President Putin: the role of foreign intelligence in ensuring Russia's security is growing

MOSCOW, Dec 20 - RIA Novosti. The role of foreign intelligence in ensuring the security of the Russian Federation is growing, this concerns the operational and qualitative analysis of international information, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"The role of foreign intelligence is increasing in the comprehensive security of our country. First of all, this concerns the prompt and qualitative analysis of international information, the development of forecasts for the development of the situation in the world as a whole and in certain regions," Putin said in a video message congratulating security officials, which was published on the website of the Zvezda TV channel.

The Head of State also noted the clear work of the staff of the FSO and the main directorate of special programs.

"The state, our people are doing everything necessary for your productive work, for technical operational personnel strengthening of special services, and we need to use this potential to the maximum, confidently solving all the tasks set. I have no doubt that in the future you will work conscientiously, achieve significant results in all areas for which your departments are responsible," the President added.
