Washington. December 18. INTERFAX - U.S. Defense Ministers Lloyd Austin and Germany's Christina Lambrecht discussed issues related to countering Russia's policy in Eastern Europe during a telephone conversation, the Pentagon said.
"They discussed their commitment to work together on the full range of issues, including countering Russia's destabilizing actions in Eastern Europe," the statement said.
It notes that the ministers also noted the need to "ensure the unity of the NATO alliance, maintain the positive dynamics of investment in defense and expand cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region."
