Minsk. December 16. INTERFAX-WEST - A representative of the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced Minsk's commitment to the implementation of international arms control treaties at the annual meeting of the heads of verification centers of the OSCE countries.
"During the meeting, the head of the Verification Department of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense, Alexander Vengura, made a statement in which he confirmed the commitment of the Republic of Belarus to the strict implementation of international treaties and agreements in the field of arms control," the telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense reported on Thursday.
Hungura expressed regret over the refusal of a number of states from working meetings with representatives of Belarus. He called for the continuation of military cooperation on arms control issues, despite the political and epidemiological situation, in the interests of national security of all States and regional stability.
