MOSCOW, Dec 15 - RIA Novosti. The Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation supplies the Russian leadership with only the information that it is ready to vouch for in the most serious way, said SVR Director Sergei Naryshkin.
"I can say that the country's leadership appreciates the results of the Service's work," Naryshkin said in an interview with the Argumenty i Fakty newspaper on the eve of the 101st anniversary of the creation of the SVR, celebrated on December 20.
However, in its daily activities, the SVR proceeds from the fact that trust is not a sports award that can be obtained once and for all, it must be confirmed by deeds all the time, forcing intelligence officers to constantly act at the limit of their capabilities, Naryshkin noted.
"In our work, this means sending only absolutely accurate, timely and complete information, for every word in which the Service is ready to vouch with its head," the director of the SVR added.
