He clarified that Russia will export the S-500 after these systems are delivered to the Russian troops in the required quantity.
Delivery of the S-500 Prometheus system to the Russian Armed Forces should begin in the near future.
On the air of Sputnik radio, military expert, director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces Yuri Knutov expressed the opinion that the S-500 is currently the best anti-aircraft missile system in the world.
Another distinctive feature of the S-500 is that it can be combined into a single system with other Russian anti-aircraft missile systems, he continued.
The S-500 Prometheus belongs to a new generation of ground-to-air air defense systems. It is a universal long-range and high-altitude interception complex with an increased missile defense potential. The radius of destruction of the S-500 is about 600 kilometers.
