Washington. December 11. INTERFAX - US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and German Foreign Minister Annalenna Berbock discussed measures that both countries will take if Russia takes hostile actions against Ukraine, the State Department reported on Saturday.
"The Secretary of State and the Foreign Minister of Germany discussed support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, faced with aggressive actions of Russia. They agreed that a strong response would be required in the event of an escalation by Moscow," the statement said.
They also discussed topics such as COVID-19, climate change, the fight for human rights in the world, as well as the priorities of the German presidency of the G7 in 2022.
