London. December 11. INTERFAX - Creating a united front of the "Big Seven" against Russia's policy towards Ukraine will be one of the tasks of the meeting of the foreign ministers of the G7 countries, British Foreign Minister Liz Truss told reporters.
"What will be discussed at the G7 meeting this weekend is a demonstration of the unity of the largest like-minded economies that our position against aggression, against aggression against Ukraine will be exceptionally strong," the diplomat said.
She stressed: "What we have to do is to deter Russia from such actions."
As reported, Truss previously reported that before the meeting of the Seven Foreign Ministers, she discussed issues related to support for Ukraine with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
"Before the G7 and following the successful "Summit for Democracy", I met with Secretary of State Blinken in Liverpool. We discussed: support for Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression, the importance of reliable and honest investments in developing countries, the cessation of Iran's actions to obtain nuclear weapons," the minister wrote on Twitter.
Earlier, the media reported that at the meeting of the G7 foreign ministers, issues related to Russia's policy towards Ukraine and the so-called threat of a possible Russian "invasion" will be condemned.
