Kiev. December 10th. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Canada confirmed its unwavering support for Ukraine and readiness to use the available tools to prevent the escalation of the conflict in the Donbas.
"Sandra McCardel confirmed Canada's unwavering support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and readiness to use available tools in order to prevent the escalation of the conflict," the press service of the Ukrainian diplomatic department said in a statement.
According to the press service, on December 10, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Senik discussed with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Sandra McCardell the bilateral agenda, including the political, security and trade spheres.
The sides paid special attention to "the threat of increased Russian aggression against Ukraine and concrete steps within the framework of a comprehensive package of deterring the Russian Federation from further aggressive actions."
