MOSCOW, December 10. /tass/. The only woman in the Russian cosmonaut squad, Anna Kikina, was pleasantly surprised by the opportunity to carry out the first flight into space under the cross-flight program.
"I learned about my flight on an American ship recently from the management and was pleasantly surprised by this offer. I feel very good about the opportunity to make my first flight into space under the exchange program," the press service of Roscosmos quotes Kikina as saying.
Earlier, the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that Kikina will make the first flight in 2022. She may be the first to fly on the American Crew Dragon ship under the cross-flight program.
