Moscow. December 9th. INTERFAX - A decision on the format of the discussion between Russia and the United States on the development of security guarantees has not yet been made, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Thursday.
"I am not aware of any meeting," Ryabkov told reporters in Moscow, responding to a request to comment on US President Joe Biden's statement about the planned high-level security consultations with Russia with the participation of a number of NATO countries.
"I proceed from the fact that the formats for continuing the discussion of those "red lines" that our leadership has been talking about in recent days, as well as Russia's receipt of the most reliable legal, legally binding security guarantees, are subject to further discussion," the deputy minister added.
He noted that "there are a whole series of platforms where these discussions can be held."
