The Majlisi Namoyandagon (lower house of Parliament) of Tajikistan has ratified the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan on the establishment of a Unified Regional Air Defense System.
Presenting the draft agreement, Tajik Defense Minister Sherali Mirzo noted that, given the growing regional threats and the emergence of new forms of warfare, including the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles, including by terrorist and extremist groups, the implementation of this agreement meets the interests of ensuring the security of the country's airspace.
