Cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is an important link in ensuring stability in the Asia-Pacific region (APR), the recently signed bilateral roadmap for the development of cooperation in the military field opens up new opportunities on this track, said Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"On November 23, a roadmap for the development of cooperation and military security between Russia and China for the period up to 2025 was signed. The document declares that joint training, sea and air patrols will continue," he said on Thursday at a briefing before the military attaches of foreign states.
Gerasimov called the interaction between Russia and China "an important element of stability in the Asia-Pacific region."
