Brussels. December 8th. INTERFAX - NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said he welcomes the dialogue between the Presidents of the United States and Russia, Joe Biden and Putin, and expressed hope that Russia will respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
"We welcome the conversation that took place between President Biden and President Putin yesterday, and we hope that this time Russia will not use military force, but will respect the sovereignty and territorial value of the independent European state of Ukraine," Stoltenberg said during a conference organized in Berlin on global peace and security in the 21st century.
He also once again called on Russia to reduce tension and transparency regarding its intentions regarding Ukraine.
