The Government of the Russian Federation has submitted to the State Duma a bill consolidating the powers of the President of the Russian Federation to determine the procedure for the protection of important state objects and special cargo by the State Guard, the text of the document is published in the Duma electronic database.
It is proposed to amend Article 6 of the law "On the troops of the National Guard of the Russian Federation". "It is proposed to attribute to the powers of the President of the Russian Federation the definition of the order of protection of important state facilities, special cargo, structures on communications that are subject to protection by the National Guard troops," the explanatory note says.
The document also provides for clarifying the powers of the head of state in the field of heraldic support of the National Guard troops in terms of not approving heraldic signs, but their establishment.
