Russia and India have signed an agreement on a program of military-technical cooperation from 2021 to 2031. This was reported on Monday, December 6, by the press service The Kremlin.
We are talking about an agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of India on a program of military-technical cooperation from 2021 to 2031.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in turn, noted that the agreements concluded in various fields will help the countries. According to him, defense cooperation is being strengthened through joint development and joint production within the framework of the "Made in India" program.
At the same time, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian side treats India as a great power with a friendly people. He added that Russia and India cooperate and work in very important promising areas, in particular in energy and space.
Putin arrived for talks in India earlier in the day. The Russian president's motorcade arrived at the Hyderabad Palace in the center of New Delhi, where Modi met him.
The last time the Prime Minister of India and the President of Russia met was in September 2019 at the V Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
