Russia has expressed concern to India about the activities of the United States to create closed military structures in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
According to him, elements of instability have been accumulating in the Asia-Pacific region in recent years, which are capable of undermining an inclusive and universal model of cooperation in the region.
"And we expressed our serious concern to our Indian friends about the activities that the United States is engaged in here under the slogan of the so-called Indo-Pacific strategies, creating closed block structures here," Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Indian Foreign Minister Subramanyam Jaishankar.
Earlier it became known that during a working visit to New Delhi, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
RT notes that the parties plan to discuss topical issues of strategic stability and the fight against terrorism, as well as the situation in the Asia-Pacific region and the situation in Afghanistan.
