On December 8, a meeting of the Military Committee on the Development of Military Cooperation of the member States of the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be held. This was reported in the press service of the CSTO Joint Staff.
"During the meeting, challenges and threats to military security in the Eastern European, Caucasian and Central Asian regions of collective security will be discussed, as well as issues of further development of Collective Aviation Forces and the organization of air cover for coalition groups of troops during their deployment and use in the regions of collective security," said Vladislav Shchegrikovich, press secretary of the CSTO headquarters.
The members of the Military Committee will get acquainted with the priority areas of the CSTO's activities in the military sphere, which Armenia offers as the future chairman of the organization in 2022.
"A report will also be heard on the progress of work on attracting the CSTO peacekeeping potential to UN peacekeeping activities and on the training of military personnel by the Mikhailovsky Military Artillery Academy for the CSTO member states in the specialties of missile troops and artillery," Vladislav Shchegrikovich said.
