BEIJING, December 6. /tass/. The first broadcast of the scientific and educational program "Tiangong Class" from the Chinese space station "Tiangong" (translated from Chinese as "Heavenly Palace") will be held on Thursday, December 9. This was announced on Monday by the Administration of the Manned Space Flight Program of the People's Republic of China.
"The first video tutorial is scheduled for December 9th. Taikonauts (as cosmonauts are called in China) Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu will give lectures on space topics," the message reads.
It is reported that the video tutorial will be broadcast by China Central Television. The broadcast will be held interactively in a number of museums and institutes in the territory of the People's Republic of China. Young viewers will be able to ask taikonauts questions, as well as conduct several experiments with them, allowing them to compare the properties of substances in space and on Earth.
Earlier, China announced the launch of the first of its kind scientific and educational program "Tiangong Class", where employees of the Tiangong space station will introduce viewers to the work of the station in the video broadcast mode. As the Tiangong Class station is being built, it will present a series of classes dedicated to the Chinese space station and its work in orbit.
The creation of the multi-module Chinese space station Tiangong is the final stage of the current manned program of the People's Republic of China, approved in 1992. Within its framework, China has developed spaceships - manned Shenzhou (the first launch took place in 1999) and cargo Tianzhou (2017), launched the Tiangong-1 orbital modules (orbited the Earth in 2011-2018) and Tiangong-2 (in 2016-2019), which are experimental space stations.
