Washington. December 3. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said on Friday that Russia and Ukraine need to adhere to the Minsk agreements in order to achieve de-escalation of the conflict with Ukraine.
"Both countries, Russia and Ukraine, need to implement what they agreed on in the framework of the Minsk agreements. Most of (these agreements) have not been fulfilled, and most of what has not been fulfilled has not been fulfilled by Russia," Blinken believes.
"First of all, Russia should return the troops that it has concentrated near the border with Ukraine in order to defuse the conflict," he added.
According to the US Secretary of State, it is necessary to return to compliance with the ceasefire regime, which the parties adhered to throughout 2020.
