Serbia is buying new Pantsir air defense systems from Russia. This was announced on Thursday, December 2, during talks with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, Interior Minister Aleksandar Vulin said.

Serbia has also received armored personnel carriers, tanks and is buying new Pantsir complexes, Vulin noted. He conveyed Shoigu "personal greetings and great gratitude" from Serbian leader Aleksandar Vucic for the development of relations.
"Everything we agreed on with you is being fulfilled," Vulin stressed.
During the meeting, Shoigu and Vulin discussed international security issues, the situation in Europe, primarily in the Balkans. They also touched upon issues of bilateral cooperation and the importance of implementing the agreements reached during the recent talks between the Presidents of Russia and Serbia.
The talks between the Presidents of the Russian Federation and Serbia, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Vucic, took place on November 25 in Sochi. During the negotiations, the parties agreed on gas supplies to Serbia. After the meeting, the Russian leader noted that relations between the two countries are developing in all directions, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
On November 14, Vucic drew attention to the fact that military cooperation between Serbia and Russia is going well. Belgrade receives modern equipment from the Russian Federation at the correct prices, he added.
The head of Serbia noted that the country's army is much stronger today than it was before, including thanks to the support of the Russian leader.
