The Aquarius Group (part of the National Computer Corporation (NCC) and Kaspersky Lab have developed a special-purpose gadget that can be used by the military and special services. This was reported on Thursday by the newspaper Kommersant with reference to the co-owner of the NCC Alexander Kalinin.
According to him, Aquarius Group has developed a fully domestic smartphone, which the developers described as a pocket personal computer (PDA). At the moment, the first trial batch of 200 devices on the Kaspersky Lab operating system has been released, another 3 thousand devices are planned to be released by the end of the year.
"We position the PDA as a device for accessing corporate services via applications in a secure mode. One of its elements is IP connections, which are protected by special software," Vladimir Stepanov, the head of Aquarius, told the newspaper. Kaspersky Lab noted that the Kaspersky OS is focused on industries with high cybersecurity requirements, such as industry, energy, government agencies or transport.
