A smart nozzle for the sight is being developed in Russia. The device will allow you to automatically make corrections for accurate shooting. This is reported by Rostec State Corporation.
The nozzle is being developed by specialists of the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant (part of the Shvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation). The device will allow you to synchronize the position of the sighting mark with the data of the ballistic calculator, rangefinder and weather sensors.
"The nozzle is designed for any sights for sports or hunting weapons. This is a new technical solution, at the moment a Russian patent has been issued for it. Automation of sights will allow the user not to be distracted by the constantly changing wind and calculating the distance to the target - it remains only to aim at the center of the crosshair and hit the target," said Bekhan Ozdoev, industrial director of the Rostec arms cluster.
Rostec noted that the promising device will be able to work with any sights, including common civilian models.
In October, the US Marine Corps began testing the SMASH 2000 fire control systems. Smart sights for small arms allow you to recognize and track targets.
In September, the chief designer of JSC "Concern "Kalashnikov" Sergey Urzhumtsev said about the creation of a smart shooting complex. He noted that the promising complex will allow automating the preparation for shooting. Elements of the system were shown at the Army-2021 forum.
