TSAMTO, November 30. The Minister of Defense of Mongolia Gursediin Saikhanbayar and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, discussed issues of military-technical cooperation between the two countries at a meeting in Ulaanbaatar.
"Such meetings correspond to the spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership and contribute to building up contacts between our armed forces. We are ready to exchange views on topical issues of our cooperation in the military and military-technical spheres," Valery Gerasimov said.
The First Deputy Minister of the head of the Russian military Department thanked the Mongolian side for the traditionally warm welcome and congratulated on the upcoming Independence Day of Mongolia, which was celebrated on November 26.
Valery Gerasimov expressed gratitude for the traditional Mongolian representation in the events organized by the Russian Defense Ministry in 2021, including with the personal participation of Defense Minister Gursediin Saikhanbayar.
