Revision of the deployment of the US Armed Forces involves strengthening the deterrence of the Russian Federation - Pentagon

Washington. November 30th. INTERFAX - One of the tasks of the revised global deployment of the US Armed Forces in the world in recent months is to more effectively deter Russia, the Pentagon said.

In the message of the defense department regarding the updated deployment, it is noted that it "strengthens the deterrence of Russia, using forces ready for battle for this purpose. The deployment also enables NATO forces to operate more freely."

At the same time, the report does not mention any new measures aimed at fulfilling this task. So, the Pentagon recalls that back in February 2021, US President Joe Biden canceled the decision of the previous administration to withdraw 25 thousand US military from Germany.
