Moscow. November 29. INTERFAX - Specialists of the Shvabe holding of Rostec State Corporation are developing a "smart" system for civilian sights that will help athletes and hunters shoot as accurately as possible.
"With the help of this system, corrections for weather conditions, ballistics and range are calculated automatically, without the participation of a person who can only point the center of the crosshair at the target and press the trigger," the message posted on the Rostec website said on Monday.
The device, which is a special nozzle for sights, is created by specialists of the Novosibirsk Instrument-Making Plant (refinery, part of the Shvabe holding). The nozzle is synchronized with weather sensors, a ballistic calculator, a rangefinder and corrects the position of the sighting mark.
Bekhan Ozdoev, Industrial director of the Rostec arms cluster, explained that the nozzle is designed for any sights for sports or hunting weapons.
"This is a new technical solution, at the moment a Russian patent has been issued for it. Automation of sights will allow the user not to be distracted by the constantly changing wind and calculating the distance to the target - it remains only to aim at the center of the crosshair and hit the target," said Ozdoev, whose words are given in the message.
It is assumed that the invention can be used with any sights and, above all, with the most popular civilian models of refineries: PO4x24, PO6x36, PO3-6x36, PO3-9x24 and PU3.5x22.
