Brussels. November 28. INTERFAX - NATO is committed to dialogue with Russia, and the organization's proposal to hold a Russia-NATO Council remains open, Alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Sunday.
"NATO's dual approach to Russia - defense and dialogue - remains unchanged. The Alliance proposed to hold another meeting of the Russia-NATO Council more than 18 months ago, this proposal is in force. Now the move is on the part of Russia," he said during a press conference in Vilnius on Sunday.
He also called on Russia for "transparency, reduction of tension and de-escalation."
