About 30 Japanese companies will take part in the development
TOKYO, November 28. /tass/. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) will soon launch a program to develop a reusable launch vehicle. This was reported on Sunday by the Nikkei business newspaper.
It is noted that about 30 Japanese companies will take part in the development of the launch vehicle, which will reduce the cost of launches by three quarters. According to the publication, they included, in particular, the largest Japanese company in the field of heavy industry Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and the second largest national airline ANA Holdings.
Currently, Japan uses H-2A and Epsilon launch vehicles. It is expected that JAXA and its partners will present the first prototype of a new reusable launch vehicle by 2026, and will conduct the first test launch by 2030.
