MOSCOW, November 26. /tass/. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Army General Valery Gerasimov, held a telephone conversation with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of France, Army General Thierry Burkar. This was reported to journalists on Friday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

"The military leaders exchanged views on topical issues of international security and bilateral cooperation," the Russian military department said.

Earlier on Tuesday, Valery Gerasimov had a telephone conversation with the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, General Mark Milli. The military leaders discussed a number of security-related issues of concern.
