The head of the RF IC, Alexander Bastrykin, during a working trip to Syria, held talks with the head of the National Security Bureau of the republic, Ali Mamluk, and the Minister of Justice of the country, Ahmed Al-Seyidomi. During the talks, the results of joint work on bilateral cooperation were discussed. In addition, topical issues of further cooperation were raised during the discussion.
The RF IC noted that Russian investigators, within the competence and in close cooperation with the Syrian special services and law enforcement agencies, will continue to assist in suppressing terrorist activities and bringing terrorists to criminal responsibility.
The department stressed that the head of the National Security Bureau, Ali Mamluk, handed Bastrykin a number of documents necessary for the investigation, which will significantly advance in the investigation of terrorist crimes.
Gava of the RF IC thanked his colleagues for the high-quality execution by the Syrian side of his department's requests for legal assistance. In addition, he noted the interaction in the identification of persons involved in terrorism. "The received installation data is very important, because it allows the investigation to move on, including putting them on the international wanted list," Bastrykin said.
During the meeting, they also discussed cooperation in the search for persons involved in criminal cases from among Russian citizens who left for Syria to participate in the activities of terrorist organizations, as well as the fact of the unknown disappearance of relatives who left together with them.
