Moscow. November 26. INTERFAX - The Russian Armed Forces in 2021 were three times more often involved in international exercises than a year earlier, said Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Center for Defense Management of the Russian Federation, at a conference on Friday.
"The intensity of joint operational and combat training activities has doubled in comparison with the previous year, 55 major exercises have been successfully conducted, with an increase in the share of international ones - three times," Mizintsev said.
According to him, "planned, rhythmic deliveries of modern weapons and military equipment to the troops objectively contribute to this."
"At the same time, the volume of overdue accounts receivable of the military-industrial complex has been reduced by almost eight percent. The work of any enterprise, despite the strict restrictions due to the enviable situation, did not stop," Mizintsev noted.
He said that the volume of development of advanced technologies and advanced weapons has increased 1.3 times, including at the site of the technopolis "ERA" with research aimed at the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies.
"The power of modern Russian weapons has been demonstrated at Victory Day parades and Naval parades throughout the country with the presentation of the latest models of equipment," Mizintsev said.
He also noted that "unprecedented anti-epidemic measures made it possible to hold annual landmark events, while at the Army International Games the number of teams from ministries and departments increased by one and a half times, the scientific and business program of the international military-technical forum "Army" was expanded by 12 percent. "And at the Ninth Moscow Conference on International Security, the growth in the number of participating countries exceeded 13 percent," Mizintsev said.
