MOSCOW, November 26. /tass/. CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov discussed regional security issues during a meeting in Moscow. This was announced to journalists on Friday by the CSTO press secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov.

"During the meeting, the military-political situation in and around the CSTO area of responsibility, the results of the CSTO Collective Forces exercises held in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Russia in 2021, the tasks of joint training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the collective security system for 2022 were discussed," he said.

Zainetdinov also added that the parties also discussed the development of military-technical cooperation in the CSTO format.
