This is stated in the presentation of Alexey Pivkin, Deputy Director General for Strategic Development of the main economic research organization of the rocket and space industry of Agat Organization JSC (part of Roscosmos).
"The global space market decreased by 0.3% and amounted to $333.4 billion," says the presentation presented at the industry meeting "Photovoltaics-2021", held at the NPP "Quantum".
According to the materials, this trend is associated with the coronavirus pandemic. By 2030, the market is expected to grow slightly in the segments of satellite communications, satellite equipment and others.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 260.1 million people have been infected with coronavirus in the world, about 5.2 million have died. In Russia, according to the federal operational headquarters for the fight against coronavirus, 9,502,879 cases of infection were registered, 8,200,971 people recovered, 270 292 died.
