Moscow. November 25. INTERFAX - The United States and NATO are "pumping" Ukraine with weapons and continuing the "military development" of this country, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
"The United States, the NATO countries in words, declaratively advocate for an early solution to the situation, the conflict in the Donbass. In fact, they are pumping the region with weapons. I mean the country with weapons, which, I mean the Kiev regime, which is already using it in the region," Zakharova said at a briefing.
She noted that Kiev "uses these weapons against those whom it calls its own citizens, whom it supposedly cares about, and in the name of supposedly the same people, the Kiev regime begs the international community to constantly provide them with some kind of assistance and protect them from Russia."
"And all this is being done in the name of the very people against whom these weapons supplied by the West are being used. A terrible vicious circle," the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
Zakharova recalled that the United States and NATO not only supply weapons to Ukraine, but also conduct military exercises on its territory.
"In principle, such military development of this country continues globally," she stressed.
