Sergey Krikalev, Executive Director of Roscosmos for manned Space Programs, said that flights of astronauts on Crew Dragon ships and American astronauts on Soyuz will begin no earlier than the autumn of 2022.
"The roles in this crew are also being clarified, and in principle, if we manage to agree on all the necessary documents, cross-flights can begin in the fall of 2022 at the earliest," TASS quoted him as saying on November 25.
According to Krikalev, the issue of cross-flights requires coordination with the government, which is what Roscosmos is currently doing.
On November 21, the Russian state corporation announced that Russia and the United States will send a joint mission to Venus. Combining efforts will simplify the task economically, as well as from the point of view of technology and science.
The comprehensive research program should start in the late 2020s.
