Following the results of the joint international exercise "Interaction-2021", which took place last month at the Kharb-Maydon training ground, five units of the 201st military base of the Russian Federation in Tajikistan were awarded the honorary name "shock". Compared to 2020, the number of such military formations at the base has more than doubled. This was reported on Wednesday by the press service of the Central Military District.
They clarified that the right to be called "shock" was awarded to three motorized rifle and one tank companies, as well as a battery of 9P140 "Hurricane" multiple rocket launchers.
"During the practical stage of the exercise, the units were highly appreciated for conducting an operation to block and destroy detachments of an illegal armed formation that invaded the territory of a CSTO member state. All tactical actions were practiced in harsh physical and geographical conditions," the press service recalled. In addition, following the results of this exercise, four units confirmed their already existing title of "shock".

The name "shock" is assigned by order of the Minister of Defense of Russia to the most combat-ready motorized rifle, tank and amphibious formations, military units and subunits. As well as the best formations of the Marine Corps.
