BAIKONUR COSMODROME /Kazakhstan/, November 24. /tass/. The next launch of the British OneWeb communications satellites from the Baikonur cosmodrome is expected at the end of the year. This was announced by the General Director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin during the construction of the combat crew.
"We are expected to have a complex and intense work in December: on the 8th, a manned launch with a commercial crew, <...> then the launch of spacecraft at the end of the month under the OneWeb program, on December 12, the launch of Proton with communication devices," Rogozin said.
Earlier, a source in the rocket and space industry told TASS that the launch of OneWeb satellites is scheduled for December 27, in 2022, the bulk of the launches will also take place from the Baikonur cosmodrome.
Dmitry Rogozin noted that the launch of the Proton-M carrier rocket with the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 telecommunications satellites was postponed from December 6 to December 12 due to the need to refine the upper stage. Later, the state corporation clarified that the specialists of the Khrunichev Center eliminated the remark identified earlier on the Briz-M upper stage.
