MOSCOW, Nov 24 - RIA Novosti. Sociological studies show that a healthy socio-psychological climate has developed in the Russian Armed Forces, and in society service in the army is considered an honorable duty, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on Wednesday.
According to the Minister, "sociological surveys and the attitude of civil society to them show an objective assessment of the activities of the Armed Forces."
Speaking about the state of law and order and military discipline in the Armed Forces, he noted that "the purposeful work of commanders and their deputies made it possible to minimize the number of crimes and incidents in the army and navy."
"The results of sociological research show that a healthy socio-psychological climate has developed in military collectives, traditions of friendship and military comradeship have been formed. In general, the servicemen are confident in their colleagues and declare the trusting nature of interpersonal relations," Shoigu said.
According to him, it is necessary to continue to do everything possible to preserve a positive image of a serviceman in society.
"Today we will determine measures to further strengthen military discipline, maintain the moral and psychological state of the troops at a high level," the Defense Minister said.
