The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has notified about the preparation of a draft of a new regulatory act - a Manual on the organization of fire training in the internal affairs bodies, which will replace the current one approved in 2017.
Why change a working document that has proven its effectiveness in just four years?
There is a need for this. The police, as well as the Ministry of Defense, Rosgvardiya, and other special services, are receiving new types of weapons and ammunition that are not included in the current manual.
Let's recall the same Lebedev pistol. These new types have other tactical and technical characteristics - range and firing power, rate of fire, magazine capacity, weight. Even the device of the weapon is different.
This means that it is necessary to make changes to the distances to the targets, their very arrangement, create new instructions for assembling, disassembling and servicing new weapons, introduce new standards and evaluation criteria, and much more.
First of all, district police officers, employees of operational units, including the criminal investigation department, patrol and patrol service officers will have to finish their studies, or even retrain. That is, those who will be the first to receive a new weapon.
Now the document is under public anti-corruption examination. It is planned that the new regulatory act will come into force in September next year.
