Moscow. November 22. INTERFAX - The situation in Ukraine at the moment is similar to that observed in Georgia before the events of 2008, the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said.
"The provocative policy of the United States and the European Union, which deliberately strengthens Kiev's sense of permissiveness and impunity, is extremely worrying. We observed a similar situation in Georgia on the eve of the events of 2008. Then Mikhail Saakashvili "broke loose" and tried to destroy Russian peacekeepers and the civilian population of South Ossetia. It cost him dearly," reads a statement issued by the SVR press bureau.
