Riga. November 22. INTERFAX/BNS - From Monday to December 4, the annual international military exercises "Winter Shield 2021" will be held at the Adage training ground in Latvia, the Ministry of Defense of the Republic told the BNS news agency.
Soldiers of the mechanized infantry brigade of the Land Forces, Zemessargi (Ze?messardze - National Guard of Latvia), military personnel of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the combat group of the expanded NATO presence in Latvia and the command of the US armed forces in Europe.
During the exercises, live firing from howitzers, mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms will take place daily from 9 to 23 o'clock, military aviation flights are planned.
