MOSCOW, November 22. /tass/. Russian inspectors will visit training areas and training grounds on the territory of Latvia to assess the scale of military activity. This was reported to journalists by the head of the National Center for Reducing Nuclear Danger Sergey Ryzhkov.
"In accordance with the Vienna Document of 2011 on confidence- and security-building measures, a Russian group of inspectors is conducting an inspection of the specified area on the territory of Latvia in the period from November 22 to 25, 2021," Ryzhkov said.
According to him, the inspection is carried out to determine the extent of military activity within the specified area, subject to prior notification. The area of such an area will cover about 16 thousand square meters. m.
"During this event, Russian inspectors will visit training areas and training grounds, receive briefings about formations and military units located in the specified area, ongoing military activities, information about formations and military units located in the specified area," Ryzhkov added.
