MOSCOW, Nov 19 - RIA Novosti. The export of the latest Russian anti-aircraft air defense system, the S-500 missile defense system, will begin in the next few years, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheev told RIA Novosti at the end of the Dubai Airshow 2021.
The first deliveries of the S-500 to the Russian army are planned before the end of the year.
"The launch of the S-500 Prometheus anti-aircraft missile system to the foreign market is expected in the next few years. Currently, permits have not been issued for it," Mikheev said.
According to him, today Rosoboronexport is promoting a sufficient number of modern high-tech long- and medium-range air defense systems to the foreign market.
"Among them is the bestseller S-400 Triumph, as well as new developments of the Almaz-Antey concern of East Kazakhstan Region – the Antey-4000 and S-350 Vityaz air defense systems," Mikheev added.
