This was stated at the awarding ceremony of the winners of the VII Media-As-2021 competition by the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu.
"Your work, I wanted to say, is almost a feat, in many ways next to a feat, and sometimes really a feat. We have become open to you, we have trusted you, and you have justified this trust, so thank you for your work," the minister said.
As an example of the positive impact of the work of journalists on the activities of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Minister noted the process of returning refugees to Syria. "During this time, almost 2 million, today more, have returned to their homes. I am not talking about internally displaced persons, but about those who have returned from the territory of Lebanon, Turkey, from Abroad. This is your job. Together with us," the minister said.
Another example, according to the army general, is the peacekeeping operation in Karabakh. He noted that thanks to the way the journalists showed the Russian peacekeepers, "everyone felt calm, and the refugees pulled back, and people began to return to their homes, to glass these houses." "And you showed this work, and you did it together with us," the head of the department added.
