Moscow. November 17th. INTERFAX - The Research and Production Center (SPC) of quantum electronics of the Shvabe holding took the sixth place in the rating of technoparks in Russia, the company's press service reports.
"The NPC of quantum electronics entered the first group. This is the highest level of efficiency of the technopark's functioning - over 110%," the press release issued on Wednesday said.
The M.F.Stelmakh Polyus Research Institute (SRI) received the status of a technopark in 2016. Dozens of significant projects for the Russian Federation have been implemented on its basis during this time, the message says.
Polyus Research Institute is the largest Russian research and production center in the field of quantum electronics as part of Shvabe (part of Rostec State Corporation). The company develops and manufactures solid-state lasers and devices based on them, laser gyroscopes, navigation devices, as well as laser medical, technological installations and other products.
"The experts of the national rating assessed the innovative activity and economic activity of the technopark residents, the effectiveness of its management company, as well as investment attractiveness, information openness and contribution to sustainable development in general," Shvabe reports.
According to Evgeny Kuznetsov, Director General of the Polyus Research Institute, referred to by the press service, being sixth in the country is an excellent result.
"Residents of our Polyus Technopark really give their all 110%, often implementing truly rare projects. For our part, we provide significant growth opportunities in the field of technology development and participate in some initiatives ourselves, attracting our own capacities," Kuznetsov said.
He noted that there are no plans to stop at what has been achieved in the NPC. "In the future, we are focused on the production of promising civilian products, including with foreign participation, and, of course, the modernization of the entire infrastructure for collective use," the CEO said.
