Swedish military may be sent to Ukraine on a training mission

Kiev. November 17th. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hultqvist has announced his readiness to send Swedish servicemen to Ukraine as part of an EU-led training mission, Sveriges Radio reports.

According to Swedish radio, the minister supports the proposal of the Baltic states to conduct an EU-led training mission in Ukraine.

It is noted that this may mean that some Swedish soldiers are sent to the country to train Ukrainian troops against the background of a large concentration of Russian troops on the eastern border of Ukraine.
