The Ukrainian army is in constant readiness to defend itself. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar on Monday, November 15.
Thus, she commented on reports about the allegedly increased activity of Russian troops near the Ukrainian border.
"No matter how we evaluate the accumulation of troops in the public space, today the Ukrainian army is in constant readiness to defend itself and repel attacks. And today we are ready to repel not only a full-scale invasion, but also the seizure of critical infrastructure facilities. If we are talking about readiness, then the readiness is combat and round-the-clock," she said on the ICTV channel.
On November 11, it became known that representatives of the administration of the President of the United States Joe Biden voiced concerns at a briefing about Russia's possible preparations for an invasion of Ukraine. The United States discussed Russia's possible plans after the appearance of "secret information", which only the States own.
After the publication data appeared, Dmitry Polyansky, the first deputy permanent representative of Russia to the UN, denied information about the alleged invasion plans. He stressed that Russia has never planned an attack on Ukraine and does not plan to.
The press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov also said that these statements are an empty, groundless escalation of tension. According to him, provocative actions are becoming more and more at the moment. The Kremlin spokesman stressed that this cannot leave Russia indifferent to what is happening.
