The UK authorities can send 600 SAS special forces units to Ukraine. This is reported by The Mirror newspaper, citing sources. The reason for the transfer is the conviction of British intelligence MI6 and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the imminent invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine.
The servicemen were warned that they could be sent to Ukraine within a few hours, the source claims
The UK is ready to promptly transfer up to 600 military personnel to Ukraine, including at least 400 special forces. This was reported on the eve of the Mirror edition with reference to sources.
"A task force of up to 600 British troops is ready to be deployed to Ukraine amid fears that Russia is ready to invade," the statement said.
According to the publication, the SAS and parachute regiment units were warned that they could be sent to Ukraine within a few hours.
This training is being conducted after military commanders and the head of foreign intelligence MI6 informed the Prime Minister that "Russian President Vladimir Putin poses a clear and real danger to Ukraine and the West."
It is claimed that the unit includes members of the SAS and a special reconnaissance regiment, as well as medics, engineers, signalmen and up to 400 paratroopers from the 16th Airborne Assault Brigade based in the city of Aldershot.
"From 400 to 600 servicemen are ready. Their equipment is packed, and they are ready to fly to Ukraine and either land or parachute down. They have prepared for both cases," the source said.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the Russian Federation again sent tanks to the border with Ukraine. T-80U tanks were transferred to the Voronezh region. Before that, tanks and self-propelled guns were pulled into the Bryansk and Kursk regions. The build-up of troops takes place at night.
After that, the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, said that now the whole world sees who really wants peace, and who concentrates almost 100 thousand military on the border.
