MOSCOW, Nov 14 - RIA Novosti. US Congressman Mike Turner spoke about the presence of US military personnel on Ukrainian territory.
"There are already our military in Ukraine," he said in an interview with Fox News. So the Republican commented on a letter to President Joe Biden, which called for sending ships to the Black Sea.
Turner noted that it is "strategically important" for Washington to provide Kiev with intelligence and lethal weapons.
The West has previously reported several times about the movement of troops along the Ukrainian border. The Washington Post newspaper, citing sources, in particular, wrote that some American and European officials are concerned about "the resumption of the buildup of Russian troops," and Politico published "satellite images" in November. According to the publication, they show the deployment of the military near the territory of Ukraine — in the Smolensk region, which does not border with it.
The Russian authorities denied these reports and stated that the maneuvers were Moscow's business and its actions did not pose a threat to anyone.
